----[Please read http://ercoupers.com/disclaimer.htm before following any advice in this forum.]---- I think Charlie Hillard was probably wearing a 5-point harness which would probably keep you straight no matter what, so maybe that is bad. Perhaps it would not be so for a single belt shoulder harness. The idea that that panel is going to cushion any major blow to the head is silly. Maybe it could make the difference between an open casket and a closed casket. Anybody who believes that ought to go bang their head against it a few times as hard as they can which will really hurt (!) and then after they get out of the hospital, if they are not brain damaged, imagine how much more awful (many times more) that would be at 70mph.
