I would not write something that is foolish, in 1978, at SAT I was in a Cessna 310 that lifted off at take-off and lost an engine. It was hot and a low time pilot flying, I was in the back seat. He lost the engine and froze, I undone my seat belt and came forward to pull the power off the one good engine, the airplane was already rolling to the 60 to 70 degrees of bank, he was not holding the airplane and the power had to come off. We hit the ground at 80 to 90mph right wing first, then all of the gear broke off , the nose bent foward and my head hit the front panal, my damages was the compass broke off and it cut the hell out of my face. The fuel tanks broke open and fuel from the tip tanks came in all over us, thur the broke windows. With no fire we was luckey, I was the only one out of four in the airplane that was hurt. I needed stiches to my face and was out of the hospital in one hour. The other three people had brused knees and brused where the single seat belts were around there waist. So I, in know way, would write something that was crap, I have been there and have done that. I think that you are getting the difference mixed up in a sudden stoppage, like the ground coming up and stopping you and the wing hitting some flat are at a foward speed. If you have a 90 mph stoppage like spinning into the ground there is nothing that can save you. If you have the crash at an angle it makes a different picture on the case. I feel that if we had on harnesses that day, that all of us would of burned up in an upsidedown Cessna 310.
