Hi Jim;   I also just purchased a 415C  with 85hp and am just starting the
restoration process. I am new
to the Couper group so anyone please feel free to correct me if wrong but
it's my belief that if you
have the aluminum tanks, you have a total of 24 gal.  If you have the old
ternplate tanks than you have
the lessor fuel quantity. Also if the header tank shut off is in the
instrument panel than it's the tern
plate tank.  if the shut off is under the panel on the left hand side than
you have aluminum tanks. IMHO
