----[Please read http://ercoupers.com/disclaimer.htm before following any advice in this forum.]---- Jim; the following is taken from the Ercoupe owners manual (not verbatim) serial # 113 to 4423, inclusive and 4500 and up which are designated as 415C are also eligible as 415D provided the following changes are made; a- correct propeller and propeller limits b- correct control surface travel for the elevator c- incorporate elevator tab in accordance to Erco drawing #415-22031 (#s113 to 4423) d- proper instrument panel markings & approved operating limitations in flight manual e- proper placards on panel and interior f- revise the orifices for the main and nose gear piston g- alter name plate to indicate date of conversion, new model # and type certificate # h- install stainless steel upper skin in fuselage aft of firewall (Erco drawing #415-31245) the above also allows upping the gross wt from 1260 to 1400# raising the horsepower to 85hp does not by itself change a C model to a D model hope this helps and please, you long time Coupers , correct this if wrong. regards JoeC N99621
