Once again I need to turn to the collective wisdom of the list.
By the way I have just completed converting my bird into the
new Canadian owner maintenance category. I will send a full
report in the next little while.

But I still need two questions answered.

1. my main gear (with the new spacers installed to lift the tail)
is still a bit weak on the hydralic action from the O ring. I have
replaced the O rings with no improvement. Is there a mod to change
them to a cup seal or something like that. (it seems to me I have
heard about this)

2. to all you EAAers. I have heard that one of the Tony Bingelis
books has lots of good tips on engine operation and maintenance,
including timing mags. But I don't know if its "firewall forward"
or "tony on engines". I know I can't go wrong owning any of the books (I
have "sportplane builder" and there are numerous good tips
for certified aircraft owners). But can someone suggest which is the
better book, especially re the timing issue.

Once again thanks for all the help.
