I have to agree with Warren Hampton... my 415-C (N3773H) snapped C-85
crank, but allowed me to gain about
200 feet of altitude as I 'swapped' airspeed for altitude.  At an
indicated 80 I got a 600'/min glide out of
the 'Coupe, maintaining excellent handling characteristics (weaving
through a treeline and over fences) to a
60 mph touchdown in a muddy pasture.  Worked great until the nosewheel
collapsed!  Should be back in the air
soon... the incident affirmed my confidence in the handling
characteristics of the design... thanks again
