Hi All-

I just discovered that one of the tubes on the pitot assembly of my new
(to
me) F-1 is cracked just below the flange that attaches to the bottom of
the
wing. I'm embarassed to admit that it took about 15 pre-flights to notice
it, but then the A&P who inspected the plane missed it too.

Anyway, Univar wants $231.97 (120-51002) for this little part. Can
anybody
suggested a less-expensive alternative?

My ASI reads about 40 mph (or more) high at cruise, according to a
borrowed
GPS. On the slow end, if I get on short final with less than about 80 mph
indicated, I run out of elevator travel during the roundout. That doesn't
seem right, and I'm hoping the damaged tube accounts for this.

Thanks
