There's a saying among jumpers, "if you wanna swim, you gotta get out of the boat." I actually got interested in flying because of skydiving. It's a completely different experience than flying, and a heckuva lot of fun. Still, I wouldn't put a jumper out of my 'Coupe, even though the prior owner did several times. It's not unheard of for a jumper to pop a canopy early and wind up with the lines fouled around the rudder and elevator. It can rip the tail clean off in a really bad situation. You need good clearance to put out jumpers properly.
