Becker radios are a great deal I'm sure. I saw some while I lived in Germany and like most German electronics, they are built smart. But, also like German electronics they cost a fortune, kind of like Blaupunkt radios and Rhodes and Swartz test equipment. I was a radio tech that worked on ground equipment (Control tower and RAPCON) so I didn't really get a chance to operate a Becker radio. I just happen admire German work in the radio field. They like to make things simple and compatible with it's use. Something some of the other world's engineers need to consider. There is no excuse for radios to weigh as much as they do with today's technology. Their reputation is excellent, and I would only expect top quality and service from them. Mercedes Benz uses Becker as their supplier of top of the line radios installed into their cars. they are for sure not a bargain, but their aircraft radios look ideal for the Coupe, and you can count on quality.
