Dear Mr Moreland, Although FAA Employees are not required to have commonsense, some do. I am a FAA Employee. I am not an Aviation Safety Inspector yet. I am filling out the forms to try and become one. I am an A&P and soon to be IA. I have a lot of years working on Aircraft, mainly the Rotor wing Military type, but it flies and I love it. I agree with you partly, but being on the inside now, I have seen what some of these guys/Gals do. I can do without a few of them, but there are a few that I would trust with my life, and do. When I was out in the real world, I let the office manager deal with the inspectors, but now, I see what they are doing, or trying to do. I hope one day I might be as respected, as the respect I give those few. As far as Mary comment. YOU GO Girl, I totally agree with her. I have seen and have had a few scares due to bad workmanship. I will not tolerate it now. If my butts in it to fly, I will not deal with second best. I want to fly and have fun without the worries of something biting me like a paper annual. People die because of stuff like that. I see the reports about them go through this office. It's ugly.
