http://www.eclipse.net/~gwb/eagles/eagles.html shows 06H doing what she does best of late. Doing this seems to be making me a better, more steady, pilot. To have to verbalize how to make a turn, and so on, so that the youngster can fly most of the flight really helps. I find it oddly relaxing to be able to put my hands in my lap and watch for traffic while a Young Eagle pilots the plane. They often don't notice that my hands have left the yoke and they're doing the flying until I point it out: "Hey, look where my hands have been for the last few minutes." What a grin that creates! After that it's "Okay, fly us over that way. Think you can find the airport?" These kids go from kind of uptight to totally relaxed in about 5 minutes, and that is one great transformation to watch.
