Dear Bill,

Those WWII aircraft aren't the easiest to get into are they? Unless
you're 18 AND flexible. Glad you got to sit in a Dauntless again. I was
hoping that you were going to tell me you went for a ride in it.

Regarding WWII, there are more people than you might realize, who have a
keen interest in that war. People of all ages... I've been interested in
it for years. I'm particularly interested in the planes as you might
guess, but I also am interested in the war in its entirity. Here on
Humboldt Bay, there is a LCI ship. A dentist bought it, restored it and
uses it for tuna fishing and his own pleasure. Once a year, there is an
open house and I did visit it. Boats are not my thing, as you know, but
the historical part is of interest to me and I loved talking to the few
WWII Vets who were there.

> Sorry, I wasn't a pilot. I was a back seat radio gunner.

Close enough. You got to fly in it!

> Didn't become a pilot until I was 60 years old.

I love hearing stories like yours. I'm so happy you found coupes, too.

Spook
