Hmmmmmmmmmmm. Didn't WWII's leading ace fly a P-38? (The twin engined, twin tailed version of the coupe.....with guns.) Richard Bong was his name. 40 kills, if memory serves. (And, just for the record, he was a Wisconsin boy too.) Mike Of course, to be fair, it took a taildragger pilot to break the sound barrier. You know....this debate might just go on for ever and ever.
