Coupes are great on grass.  Have flown off rough (and very Oregon wet) strip 1700 feet long for the last three years with 75, 85 and 100 hp models.  Both single and double fork.  No problem.  The plane was made for this type of field and actually lands much better on grass than on pavement.  Just do it!
