Stefen: When we still had our 415C (with C-75) We used the standard tires and got off just fine in 2300 Ft..    We regularly outclimbed everything on the field.  Sod fields are great under most conditions, X-wind landings are easier, normal landings tend to be smoother, and your depth perception better.
