Is an STC needed to put Ram Horn Yokes on a 415-CD?

Hello all,

        I am about to start restoring a '46 415-CD and was wondering if I
need any paperwork to install some used ram-horn control yokes instead of
the original "pretzel" type yokes. If so, where would I get the STC, and
how much would it cost. I really want to install the modern style
controls(ram-horns & throttle quadrant).
