Good Morning Dave,
About a year ago there was a SERVICE BULLETIN from Teledyne Continental
(SB95-3A) that required inspection and/or preplacement of the
generator/alternator drive couplings. To be done within the next 25
hours of operation and every 500 hours thereafter.
I was nearly due an annual when I received the bulletin so I just did
it during the following annual.
My old bushings 'seemed' to be okay, but I replaced them anyway as they
weren't all that expensive and now I KNOW that they are okay.
If I remember correctly there was someone, somewhere that had
experienced a broken coupling in flight and the pieces fell into the
geartrain and caused some damage or stopped the engine, I don't remember
the details. Hence the service bulletin to everyone with the involved
engines. (Which included all engines that we could have in our coupes).
Sorry, I don't have a scanner or I'd send you a copy of it.  Maybe
someone else has a copy and a scanner and could send it to you.

Good Luck...
