Hi All,
I've been reading all the posts about "how and when to rotate" on
take-off. Here's my 2 cents worth..(Maybe I'm wrong but it works for
me)
After applying full power and getting the roll started I leave the
yoke
neutral (or possibly a "wee-bit" of forward pressure until it starts
feeling like I should return to neutral). (I do this for steering
purposes in case of a cross wind.) I hold it that way until about 55mph
and then I give a slight back pressure on the yoke and it usually leaves
the ground right then or at least by 60mph.
This is on a fairly smooth grass strip with only myself and
usually
full or nearly full fuel load. (415C, C-75) If I have a passenger I
just leave the yoke the same as above and let the coupe become airborne
when it's ready (usually about 60-65 and of course a little farther down
the grass). FYI only.
