I dunno, Tom.
  You have the right idea, about looking at the headers.  But they may
not show on your emailer.  Since we can just about assume that everyone
on the list uses a different mailer, I would say this:

It is correct that the headers tell the routing of an email.  On elm,
the one I use, I get the name of the person who sent the message to
coupers.  If I want to know if it came directly to me or via the
coupers mailing list, I select the message by typing its number, then
enter 'h.'  If I just want to see the message, I hit return.

Check up on your mailer, Joa.  There probably is a secret way to view 
that information.  I have Eudora Lite available, but do not know where
it keeps this data.
