Started to put the "chrome" shine on my Coupe today.... you can sweat off a lot of pounds doing this little job...... While its looking pretty nice there are tons of little black flecks and black gunk in any and all of the scratches. I assume this stuff is oxidized alum and polish.... I Have tried using Blue max and Mothers polishes with about the same effect. Is there a
good way to get the surface really clean??? I have used a buffer on the surface but doing it by hand seems to work just about as well. Someone once said to go over the surface with corn starch to absorb the residue...does this work or does it just scratch the surface? Any suggestions will be welcome. Thanks, Rob 3040H
