Darrell, I removed the fuselage tank yesturday and here is what I found. The outlet is a fitting that is riveted to the bottom of the tank and has a female threaded hole in the center. The valve has a male threaded end that screws into the fitting on the tank. There is a finger screen soldered into the inside diameter of the male end of the valve. HOWEVER, it appears that the fuselage tank is not original and is possibly home made. It is stainless and has soldered joints. I have a aluminum fuselage tank that came with the coupe but is minus the filler neck. I asked the previous owner about it today and she said that she sort of remembers her husband having a new tank made in the shipyard(???). when placed side by side and dimensionally inspected, both are identical except for the material. After removing the control column, I was surprised to find it in great shape. No slop or play in the bushings. So will take it apart for cleaning and preservation, regrease and reassemble. The top fitting is of the correct type also. Finally found someone who does powder coating. Am arranging for delivery of the instrument panel after I finish rearrangement of the switches etc. Richard Blair N99997 - 415D St. Marys, Ga. 4J6 [EMAIL PROTECTED]
