After doing a lube on all control surfaces and also the control yolk shafts I became aware that my elevator seems to have quite a bit of play in it. No doubt it has had this play for some time but with everything moving really
smoothly now, it just seems odd. I can move the yolk about 1-1/2" fore and aft before I feel resistance from the air pressuer while flying. On the ground I had my A/P take a quick look at it yesterday and he thought (from Feel) that the play is at the elevator linkage in the tail cone. If this is the case, is it a matter of tightening the lower cable, ore installing new bearings, or is this sort of free play normal??? Rob, 3040H
