If you have access to an engine hoist or some other way of hanging the 
airplane from a support then you can remove the upper wing joint fairings
and 
hang the plane from some rope passed under the main spar where the bolts
pass 
through.  This has the advantage of being very stable in that it is not 
possible for the jack to slip or scratch the lower spar cap.
The method of passing a bolt through the knee joint is fine for a short
time 
but runs the risk of someone bumping the plane off the jack.
