Did he figure out why it came off? It would be nice to know. I think the canopy might be one of those "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" things that people take for granted (like magnetos). Maybe we'd better inspect those sliders at every annual, or something. I noticed something funny with the canopy once when it was open about eight inches. The airflow was causing it to push down, not try to lift up, like I expected. It made me feel better.
