*BUT*
I don't know enough aerodynamics to judge the vortex generators, but
I know the liethal legalities `bout certified planes. Basically, if it
has the Government Seal of Approval on it, one can't change one nut or
bolt without STC or recertification. Part of the original cert. is
showing capacity to manufacture many more exactly like the one that
the FAA is blessing. Imagine anything else going that way. Bill Gates
could not change one byte of code, nor Andy Grove add one more transistor
to a microprocessor. The good side is that they would not have the FTC
after them ...
Thus; conclusion the first. Don't put `em on an Ercoupe.
There has been some good things in the Ultralight Press `bout `em,
though. Maybe there is something there. But you'll have to get an
ully to try `em on. Or go through lots of hassle.
