I have been trying to seal some exhaust leaks for several years. My fixes last for awhile then start to leak again. I have tried the thin gaskets, thin gaskets with the high temp RTV in between, and the thick blow proof gaskets. Nothing lasts for long. I have new stacks and the seats are smooth with no groves or damage. Is there some kind of tool that will re-surface the seats? I have had this problem ever since I replaced the stacks and removed the old asbestos gaskets that had copper on both sides. Is anyone else having this problem? How did you fix the problem?
