I agree with this philosophy. The only change I would
suggest is that member-placed ads would be viewable by the
public. Rules should be printed and clear.
There should definitely be an "e-mail to the editors"
section.
I really like the immediacy and quality of the technical
responses to this web/e-mail list. I am willing to pay for a
members-only section in lieu of the printed one, only if I
don't lose anything that I have now.

I'm concerned that some of the potential web/e-mail members
may drop out and the current printed version cost may rise
too high if only 50% choose to get the printed version and
it is different enough from the web/e-mail version to
require substantial editing. While there is some risk, I'm
sure that electronic communication is the right direction to
take.
