Sorry, I deleted the original thread that related to the OP being unable
to use an IMAP namespace in Thunderbird and Kmail. It bugged me for a
bit, and I found the answer (at least in Thunderbird.)
1. Tools > Account Settings
2. Under your account, select Server Settings
3. Advanced
4. Key in "INBOX." in the "IMAP server directory" textbox.
I have no idea why you have to do this, as there are separate text boxes
for Personal Namespace, Shared Namespace etc which do seem to have been
picked up from Courier IMAP correctly, they just don't get applied.
Even unchecking "allow server to override namespaces" doesn't seem to work.
But following the above steps does (you have to restart Thunderbird to
pick up the change.)
