I do not want to do things for ip. I want to control access by user. Is it possible?.

You want to do both. For a given userid allow access only from selected IP addresses. You can do that by implementing my second suggestion -- installing a wrapper for imapd that checks the logged in user's identity, and the connecting IP address, from the environment variables.

You'll have to either set up two instances of the IMAP server with different configurations, bound to different IP addresses, or use a wrapper for imapd, which can retrieve the client's IP address from $TCPREMOTEIP. 2) No push email works on iphone os 3.1.3 and not in Thunderbird. Push email is different from imap idle. There's no such thing as "push email", at least I never heard of it. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ ------ _______________________________________________
