I don't want to start any holy wars however, is there any way to disable the searching of data attachments. Microsoft Entourage has a stupid feature where it searches each message for evidence of an HTML link, courier imap seems to want to search the binary attachments for any non header related searches. I would prefer not to search binary attachments, or at least the option not to search them. Are there any flags/directives to change the search behavior? I also know that the performance tests comparing Maildir's to mbox (why not mbx?) don't seem to contain any large attachments. This may skew the performance, I am sure I am not typical but about 10% of my mail has < 1MB attachments. Bakafish
