I understand that you feel a match of the string within a binary attachment
seems like a useful thing, however all it takes is a couple of large
attachments in a Maildir to make a quick search into a half hour wait. From
a performance / efficacy standpoint I would think that it would make more
sense to skip the binaries. Most attachments are truly binary compressed
data, why would you impose the substantial overhead of a search against this
data when a match would be of dubious relevance?
