I probably do not understand the process then. My thoughts:

1)Somebody has mail for my domain and makes SMTP connection with MTA
(exim)
2)MTA put new mail in $home/Maildir/new
3)User checks mail; Email-client makes IMAP connection with imap server
(courier)
4)IMAP server sees mail in $home/Maildir/new
5)Notifies client and copies it to $home/Maildir/cur

Then if for example user wants to delete email
1)Client talks IMAP with server.
2)Sends some kind of delete command
3)IMAP server appends ,T to message in $home/Maildir/cur

What is wrong in this picture?

Thnx in advance,

Tim
