Ok, I did some more digging around and noticed that when I do a /etc/rc.d/init.d/courier start a bunch of authdaemond.pgsql processes get started and NOT authdaemond.mysql. Why is that? authdaemonrc doesn't have authpgsql...only authmysql. Given I am trying to do MySQL authentication that wasn't good.
I manually stopped authdaemond.pgsql and started the .mysql couterpart, verified it is running doing a "ps -ef" and then issued the following authtest: authtest couriertest password and now I get: Temporary authentication failure from module authdaemon Authentication FAILED! I then opened authmysqlrc to verify everything and it all looks right. -- Tony Bibbs | Life is a moderately good play [EMAIL PROTECTED] | with a bad 3rd act. 515.554.8046 | _______________________________________________ courier-users mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] Unsubscribe: https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/courier-users
