courier/qmail/ldap/squirrelmail/rh7.1

there are major cleanup/tuning that needs to be done(on my part) but i am
taking the family out today after spending weeks (i am not kidding) trying to
understand and make everything works.

while i spend the weekend with my family, (hey, i am tired ok) please advise me
thru the list on how to change a user password.

i created my testuser with this password entry inside an ldif file
userPassword: {MD5}WrbkuYvH+3FvwH7Zj+34Ag==   (this is 'tux')

i am able to authenticate thru telnet and login on squirrmail. no problem.

how is that password sequence generated with php script? it looks much shorter
than the md5 sequence that i am use to with php.

i think i am able to generate it with perl, but i prefer to use php all the way
now. please advise.
