If I set up an alias for majordomo list [avr-chat] in the way that would be normal for sendmail OR Qmail, I get a "550 User Unknown" from Courier.
550 is a very generic error from courier. In this case it likely means that the sommand isn't found or didn't exit cleanly.
"| /usr/lib/majordomo/wrapper resend -l avr-chat avr-chat-send"
Make sure not to put quotes around the command line: anything in quotes gets treated as the full name of the command.
The last argument "avr-chat-send", is the outbox, where there would usually be an "include /usr/lib/majordomo/lists/avr-chat", but I don't
:include:/usr/lib/majordomo/lists/avr-chat should work fine. I use this format myself.
Thanks for the reply.
When using the webadmin, if I put in :include:/usr/lib/majordomo/lists/avr-chat it gives me errors, that's why I thought Courier wouldn't work with them. Anyway, the actual command |/usr/lib/majordomo/wrapper resend -l avr-chat avr-chat-send, doesn't have the quotes. I'm using the webadmin to do aliases, and it didn't give me any errors when putting in that command...it just gives me errors when I try to send to it. I have also tried creating a system user "avr-chat" and putting that command in the .courier file. Then Courier accepts the message, but it doesn't actually go anywhere.
