Unfortunately that doesn't seem to work in Netscape, if you are mixing text
and images on the same line. The current templates essentially do this:

<td><img src="graytopleft.gif"></td> <-- image
<td bgcolor="#cccccc">&nbsp;</td> <-- "text" to turn on the background
<td><img src="graytopright.gif"></td> <-- image

You can make the corners join up in IE with style="line-height: 0", but not
only does that not have the desired effect in Netscape, it also causes
subsequent tables to be positioned wrongly.

I have changed the middle bit to be
<td background="image"><img src="image"></td>
and now it joins up, at least on the login screen.

I am having a bit more difficultly with the other pages though. If you would
like to help diagnose it, please find attached a snippet of HTML, and the
rendering in Netscape 4.74 ... the visual problem should be obvious :-)

Brian.
