I am a newbie in setting this. The message shows that Cyrus can support NNTP spooling. http://asg.web.cmu.edu/archive/message.php?mailbox=archive.info-cyrus&msg=5761
It doesn't give me a detailed description. What I guessed is that Cyrus can save the emails in one of the news directory (physical directory?) and that the news server can pick them up, so the newsreader will be able to read from it. Is it right? -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]]On Behalf Of Sam Varshavchik Sent: Tuesday, March 05, 2002 12:23 PM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: [courier-users] Re: Courier + LDAP + NNTP? 'Integration with a news server' is a meaningless buzzword that lacks any definition whatsoever. > If an email is sent to [EMAIL PROTECTED], the mail will automatically be >dumped to one of the newsgroup in the news server? How do you expect a mail server to telepathically know that an arbitrary recipient address should post to an arbitrary newsgroup. Now, you can certainly set up a script that runs off a particular recipient address, which prepends a Newsgroups: header and runs nntppost, or something similar, to post the message to a newsgroup. -- Sam _______________________________________________ courier-users mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] Unsubscribe: https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/courier-users
