Thanks for the speedy answer Sam. Sorry I didn't put that extra bit of info
in. The user logs in as [EMAIL PROTECTED] and vmailmgr separates the two
bits of info to determine the base unix user and the virtual pop
mailbox..... I think I am seeing where the answer will lie.... return the
real unix user from authvmailmgr perhaps.

Mmmm, think I'll also post this one to the vmailmgr mailing list.

The logged userid is taken directly from the login userid.  Someone logged
in as 'peter', and that's what you got.
