28 days to go... before going live :-)

The organization I work for has decided to use Mulberry for Windows,
the Mac, and Linux over Eudora. :-)

Although my boss wants me to use Cyrus IMAP with LDAP, I want to use Courier IMAP with
LDAP (authentication) because it is better. ;-)

Here is my argument for wanting to use Courier IMAP over Cyrus. Am I
missing anything ?

    1. I like to stick with Debian Packages. - Courier has up to date
Debian packages that keeps up with the latest Courier-IMAP releases.
Courier IMAP with Debian/GNU Linux makes updates easier than Cyrus.

    2. The development rate on Courier-IMAP is faster and appears very
    pro-active.

    3. Courier will work better on our lower (and higher) performance servers
because it has a smaller footprint.
        i.e. I only have a 700MHz P3 Xeon with 500MB or RAM and 30GB RAID

    4. Courier is more secure for email users with its native SSL modules.
In contrast, Cyrus has SASL implementation, but it is difficult to work with.

    5. Courier has native LDAP support. Cyrus requires a patch for it.
And more of a headache, to configure.

    6. Mulberry will work great with Courier IMAP because it uses RFC
    standards. :-)

    7. The only advantage of Cyrus is the unfinished roaming address
    books.

    8. Courier processes Return-Receipts better. I am just adding this
    to get my way. ;-)
