Hi
I have installede Courier MTA ver 0.37.3 with MySQL
authentication. (FreeBSD 4.5 portscollection)
After some installationtrouble i have come so far,
that i can login via POP3 with the database login.
But in the maillog-file I get this
error:
pop3d: chdir: Permission denied
The Outlookexpress error is: (in
danish)

kan skyldes en fejl p� serveren, netv�rksproblemer, eller at forbindelsen ikke

English: Server has unexpextedly disconnected.
Might be error on server, networkproblems or that the connection has not been
used for a long time ......

I did get it trough earlier, but after the I
used the maildirmake to make the dir-structure - then it did not work and
now I have been trying to mingle withe the rights, but nothing seem to
work.
I am running it on a FreeBSD ver. 4.5 and I have
installed it from the portscollection.
When I read the documentation and there are
some steps I can not do because som commands does not work, like:
make check
make install-webadmin-password
My WEB-interfaces does not work at all and I have
not a clue how to finish the configuration because the way things are done with
the portscollection are different from the original source.
I have tried with the source but then I get
make-problems because it cannot find all the OpenSSL scripts ( I guess they are
placed otherwise the on other platforms)
I also tried to run make as a nonsuperuser as
suggested in the documentation, but with no luck
Does anyone know of a HOWTO for the FreeBSD
portscollectioninstallation of Courier-MTA
