Yes I'm using the PAM authentication modual and
my /etc/pam.d/pop3  file looks like this:

#%PAM-1.0
auth       required    /lib/security/pam_pwdb.so shadow nullok
account    required    /lib/security/pam_pwdb.so
session    required     /lib/security/pam_pwdb.so

I'm running redhat 6.2, does this look like is should work?
