Hi, i am trying to create shared folders...

i have used "maildirmake" that comes with
courier-imap package...

    i have suppose two user's user1 & user2...

it has created the shared folder.....

as a user1 i shared my folder to user2 and
user2 has "soft" links to user1's folder..as done
    by "maildirmake"

i have done following as user1....

    maildirmake -S /home/user1/Maildir
   maildirmake -s write -f mySHARED
/home/user1/Maildir

   shared-maildirs file contains
   USER1SHARE /home/user1/Maildir

Now as user2 i have created only

   shared-maildir which contains

   USER2SHARE /home/user1/Maildir

when i used as user1 IMAP and list command showed
   "shared.USER1SHARE.mySHARED"
   "shared.USER1SHARE."
   "shared"
   "INBOX" etc

(this automatically creates a folder namded
"shared-folders" for user1 & 2 both in their
Maildirs.)

when user2 used IMAP it showed
  "shared.USER2SHARE.mySHARED" <----user1's folder.
  etc.......

Now the problem is that it is not showing mails
(means not fetching mails) to user2 since there
permission r not group writeable. (original belongs to
user1) but user1 can fetch no porbs...

if i changed permissions manually i can fetch mails

  when i select shared.USER1SHARE.mySHARED it
only shows the "exists and recent mails" in
shared.USER2SHARED.mySHARED

So how can i fetch those mails without changing
permissions manually ....from user2 account
(since the qmail makes it only owner readable)

why the permissions r not set even i used
( "maildirmake -s write mySHARED/home/user1/Maildir")
 with "write" option....

ur suggestion would be a greate help for me.....
 thanks KUNAL.....
