Also if you issue certain mailing list commands as root you will end up
with files owned by root. Take the subscription command for example:
couriermlm sub listdir/ [EMAIL PROTECTED]
If you do this as root, the sublist.log will end up being owned by root.
I don't know which command would affect commands.dat, but if you're just
seeing a few files getting owned by root after you've already created the
list as another user, that may be what is happening.
If you've automating certain mailing list commands, you'll have to figure
out a way to have these commands executed by the appropriate user, or
perhaps do a chown -R afterwords.
