Hi again!

I did some testing as described by Peter C. Norton, thanx Peter!
Right on the spot.. the BAD news is....
----8<----8<----8<----8<----8<----8<----8<----8<----8<----8<----8<----8<----8<----
raise SMTPException("SMTP AUTH extension not supported by server.")
----8<----8<----8<----8<----8<----8<----8<----8<----8<----8<----8<----8<----8<----

Then I remembered, using the KMail there is an option to check what
encryption and auth. the server supports... KMail gray-out ALL auth. options
and now the suggested python script returns the above.

I'd say this confirms my problem as being with the authentication setup.
Obviously the courier server does NOT respond to a login attempt.
KMail also has CRAM-MD5 and PLAIN... NO DIFF!

NOW using /etc/courier/esmtpd:
 AUTHMODULES="authdaemon"
 ESMTPAUTH="PLAIN LOGIN CRAM-MD5"
(Does the order matter?)

Please! any more suggestions? I need to get this working...

/Jonas
