Hi all,

I've been able to compile Courier-Imapd 1.5.3 (stable) under Solaris 8
successfully. However, when I run the imapd.rc script ("imapd.rc start") I
get this error:

ld.so.1: /usr/local/libexec/courier-imap/couriertcpd: fatal: libdb-4.1.so:
open failed: No such file or directory

When I run the couriertcpd program by itself, I do not get this error (just
a notice that -pid is required). I originally compiled it under Berkeley's
DB 3.3.1 and had this same problem. so I upgraded to 4.1.24 -- and the same
error has occurred. I've ensured that the LD_LIBRARY_PATH was correctly
set every time I ran the configure script and ran make.

I only need Courier-Imapd for use with Vpopmail. For those of you who are
curious, here are my configure options:

./configure --without-ipv6 --enable-unicode --prefix=/usr/local
--enable-authvchkpw --without-authpam --without-authldap --without-authpwd
--without-authshadow --without-authpgsql --without-authcram
--without-authdaemon --enable-workarounds-for-imap-client-bugs
--without-root-check --exec-prefix=/usr/local
--sysconfdir=/usr/local/etc/courier-imap
--datadir=/usr/local/share/courier-imap
--libexecdir=/usr/local/libexec/courier-imap --without-authuserdb

I'm at my wits end, so any hints or help would be appreciated.

-- Steve
