Somehow, this symlink strategy did not work for me.

[root@www authdaemon]# ls -l
total 4
-rw-------    1 root     root            0 Sep 26 15:53 lock
-rw-rw-r--    1 root     root            6 Oct  1 08:38 pid
lrwxrwxrwx    1 root     root           36 Oct  1 08:30 socket ->
/var/spool/courier/authdaemon/socket

The main reason for me to make a separate sqwebmail
is that I wanted to run a Japanese enabled version of it.
If Sam would include this Japanese patch into the main
distribution, I would be more than happy to install the
whole package.

Cheers,

Nat Sakimura

use a symlink to point the authsocket from one package
to the other (which defaults to var/authdaemon/socket).

another solution would be to configure --without-authdaemon,
which also simplifies debugging, or install the whole courier
suite and only start what you really need.
