Hi!

I hope this is not a stupid question, but it probably is...
I have compiled and installed the "complete" courier mailserver programs on an i386 running redhat linux 8.0 (mailserver, mailfilter, webmail, etc). I have followed the guidelines stated on the homepage and almost everything works great! The problem i have is that no one except the user used to compile courier can log on to the server.

At the present the only authorization required is being listed in the userdb(.dat) file. (The pop3d and esmptd files only use authdaemon to authorize users and authdaemon uses the userdb file.) All users that should have access to the mailserver are listed in that file. I generated it with pw2userdb and then to make sure i replaced all the passwords using userdbpw. All users also have the default $HOME/Maildir generated by maildirmake. I have also run the makeuserdb after all changes and restarted courier (with the script listed on your installation guide). Is there something i have missed when generating the users accounts?

I almost forgot, i have always used the same computer to log in, both with the working account and the non working, so there shouldnt be any problems with "ip-adress blocking".

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Thanks

Peter
