Greetings, I've been looking at courier, and am happy with it. It's a nice product that I hope to use. I like it's capabilities in the LDAP and SSL/TLS space. Very nice!
My question has to do with LDAP groups. I'm trying to integrate with a portal product that manages users in LDAP. The users are grouped using groupofuniqenames, which contains attributes of uniquemember. The uniquemember is a dn (distinguished name). One is listed for each member of the group. I'd like to be able to mail a group and have it delievered to all of the members in the group. So far as I can tell, courier does not provide this kind of functionality. I understand that this presents potential scalability issues since the worst case implementation would do n+1 ldap searches to get the member email addresses. So, can I get this functionality out of courier? If not, would folks be interested. If there is sufficient interest I'd be willing to implement it. Thanks!
