Crispin gets pissed off every time I point that out. His own revision to RFC 2060, which is going to get published soon, contains an appendix listing over a hundred errata, and revisions to RFC 2060. Each time he starts flapping his gums about something I point out that little tidbit, as an example that he doesn't know what he's talking about. And that gets him pissed off even more.
But atleast one of the people that gets to take the stage at the IETF Open Plenaries uses Courier IMAP (and MTA).
