Hi all,
i'm very sorry to bother you with this newbie question, but I've
searched google for hours and couldn't find anything, although that's
problably my bad.
I've got a Redhat 8 box with courier imap and qmail on it. I installed
it by following the tutorial on
http://www.sxpress.com/~henry/qmail-pop-imap-web-howto-7.3.htm and it
seemed to go very well. My problem is that when I try to send an email
(locally, haven't and can't try remotely) to [EMAIL PROTECTED] by pop3,
it's accepted by the server and I'm not getting a mailer-daemon error
message back. I can see in the log file that qmail has accepted it, and
even (I think) delivers it, but it doesn't show up in my Maildir (on hd
and in mail client). This is what the log says:
starting delivery 25: msg 151136 to local [EMAIL PROTECTED]
status: local 1/10 remote 0/20
delivery 25: success: did_0+0+1/
status: local 0/10 remote 0/20
But when I try to send an email through my imap mailbox it returns the
error: invalid mailbox name. The strange thing is that the message does
get delivered (externally), when my client tries to copy the message to
my sent folder, it times out.
My maillog only shows login and disconnected messages, althougd I'm not
sure, and haven't been able to find out if there's another courier log
out there.
I've tried creating a new account to see if a new account would work,
but no luck so far.
Could you please tell me what the problem could be, any help would be
greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Niels
